We had an amazing time casting, styling, shooting and directing the Goutté Season of Change Collection promotional trailer titled “The Crosswalk”. The Season of Change collection represents facing, embracing and accepting changes that are difficult to deal with, but still pushing forward. The collection featured hoodies, sweatshirts, tapestry sweaters, and a variety of hats that Goutté wanted to showcase through story telling.
Layer One, 2 and 3
Our first step was to create several storyboards to help us find our concept. Once we landed on an idea we liked, we moved forward with script writing. This part of the process we were very meticulous with, but we managed to create a solid script we liked after roughly 5 rewrites.
Once the script was approved, we created a styling guide (shown below) and reached out to some talent to help us find some actors/models that would fit the needs of the project.

We did initially run into some obstacles due to the timeline because we needed to complete the project in under 1 month. Goutté was hosting a launch event for their collection and we wanted to have the video ready as promo leading up to the event.
After we hired our models, we went right to work. Since the script was very short, we were able to save time on rehearsing and practice. We shot the video entirely in the Bronx, NY with a few filler shots from various locations. Overall, the shoot day went extremely smooth. We had 2 actors, 1 director of photography, 1 photographer, 1 Assistant Director and Jason Smith as Creative Film Director & writer.

That’s a wrap!
The video was a success and we look forward to doing more projects like these in the future.
